Mrs. Wendy Dalrymple
Mathematics
wdalrymple@bk.org
Wendy Dalrymple has lived in five different states and has taught math in every one. She earned a BS in Math Theory from the University of Idaho and a MST from Portland State University. Wendy has also taken various Advanced Placement training courses to enhance teaching and learning in Calculus. She has also completed many training courses taken to incorporate the appropriate use of graphing calculators in Algebra and Calculus. Wendy is also a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
Mrs. Dalrymple is passionate about teaching math at Bishop Kelly! Her students recognize and appreciate her total commitment to student learning. She believes that teaching is an art with specific skill sets and a craft that must develop over time. Subject matter expertise is not adequate in and of itself to create teaching. She says the lessons learned in school are sometimes about math and sometimes about life and developing an understanding of character and faith.
At Bishop Kelly, Mrs. Dalrymple is the moderator for the National Honor Society. She also coordinates the annual Bishop Kelly Academic Awards night. Away from school, Wendy works through her church to support those serving as missionaries internationally. In her free time she enjoys reading as well as baking and cooking; her specialties being great crepes and delicious cream puffs.
