 | Mr. Tom Holdridge Computer Technology tholdridge@bk.org Tom Holdridge is married with three children, two graduates of BK and one in Sacred Heart School. He migrated to Idaho in 1973 after finishing college at the University of California at Sonoma where he studied chemistry and was introduced to computer science. He has owned several restaurants, flown corporate jets as a commercial pilot, and currently owns and operates Alliance Computer Company.
In 1986, Tom, together with two other business partners, started Alliance Computer Company. It specializes in a mini-mainframe brand of computer, the Alpha Micro. The group enhanced, modified, and created many lines of programming code for companies such as Smith Sport Optics and Scott USA. Tom purchased his partners shares and became the sole owner in 1991.
With the advent and popularity of Windows networking, Mr. Holdridge directed Alliance Computer Company toward the world of network administration and development. Today it enjoys a wide range of business clients who require hardware, network, and application support but are not quite large enough to hire an “in-house” IT manager. Throughout the transition of Alliance Computer, he has maintained his programming skills using several programming languages. Tom has developed many business applications, including the nationally marketed application for veterinarians, VetCom.
Mr. Holdridge looks forward to sharing what knowledge he has accumulated these past 22 years with the great students of Bishop Kelly.
