 | Ms. Cherie Pasley Counseling cpasley@bk.org Cherie Pasley spends her days visiting with students and making their lives better. Students receive guidance on class schedules, the college application process and surviving high school.
Ms. Pasley earned a B.A. in English Literature from the College of Idaho and later earned a Master’s in Guidance and Counseling, also from the College of Idaho. She is a member of the Idaho School Counselor Association and the Pacific Northwest Association of College Admissions Counselors.
Cherie’s good work has earned her several accolades. In 2007 she received a Teacher Recognition Award from the United States Presidential Scholars Program through the United States Department of Education. She has also received a Master Teacher Award from the College of Idaho. Ms. Pasley was also selected as a recipient for the St. John –Baptist de la Salle, Teacher of the Year Award.
Education continues for Cherie as she attends many classes and workshops. Some topics of these classes include transactional analysis, Jungian psychology and interpretive dream work as an educational and therapeutic tool.
Ms. Pasley believes listening is the most important part of her job. She aims to listen to, support and encourage students as they begin to answer two critical questions: Who am I? and What am I meant to do in the world?
Outside of school Cherie enjoys hiking, cycling, kayaking, reading, tái chi, knitting, meditating, bird-watching, writing, making art and the Boise Philharmonic.
