 | Mrs. Bobbie Shea Language Arts bshea@bk.org Mrs. Shea went into teaching because she feels that knowledge makes life fuller and helps us realize our unique destiny. She especially loves teaching literature because it enables us to examine the wisdom of people who took the time to write their observations of the human experience and pass that along.
Bobbie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the College of White Plains in White Plains, New York. She then received a Master of Science degree in English Education from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. Bobbie also has received extensive training and education in technology and teaching online classes.
Through the Idaho Human Rights Education Center, Mrs. Shea has studied about “Teaching the Holocaust” and “Teaching World Conflict and Peace.” This has led her to develop a curriculum unit “Night by Elie Wisel: A Social and Literary Perspective.” Bobbie has been chosen to go to Jordan in October of 2009 on an Education Mission sponsored by the Anne Frank Human Rights Education Center. On this trip she will be studying Middle Eastern culture and visiting Jordanian schools to learn about their education system.
Mrs. Shea enjoys reading, walking the Boise greenbelt with her shiba-inu, Nordic skiing and spending time with her family.
