 | Mr. Chuck Tacke Theology ctacke@bk.org Mr. Tacke is happy to be a teacher at Bishop Kelly,
“where being engaged in something bigger than oneself
is considered normal and being a good student is cool.”
Chuck loves sharing knowledge with students and
challenging them to grow in their faith and understanding
of the world. His primary mission as a teacher is to make
the vision of Jesus relevant to his students’ lives and to help
them reach beyond their own self-interests.
Mr. Tacke is thrilled to teach Church History, Social Justice, and Psychology. He believes
that being able to mix history, psychology, and justice together is a powerful way of reaching
all the different dimensions of the human spirit.
In addition to teaching, Chuck has also filled many other roles at Bishop Kelly. He is
currently the moderator for the Earth Club and as such handles much of BK’s recycling efforts.
Mr. Tacke has also coached many sports including assistant Varsity and Junior Varsity Football,
freshman, sophomore, and assistant Varsity boys’ Basketball, Varsity girls’ Basketball coach
and assistant Track coach. He was even the campus minister for a year.
Mr. Tacke earned his bachelor’s degree from Boise State University in History and Secondary
Education. He has also earned many credits in Theology from Loyola University. He is
fascinated by politics, world events, and alternative energy and also likes to ride bikes, swim
and read. Chuck is married to Nancy, a BK grad, and they have four children that keep them
very busy |
