 | Mrs. Jan Siron Campus Minister jsiron@bk.org “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105) is Mrs. Jan Siron’s focus in her Theology and Campus Ministry classes. She brings a passion for scripture and a love for young people to her classroom. She believes that the “chapel” is the center of the school and the “gift” of daily Liturgy of the Eucharist sustains her. With the Lord’s guidance and the Blessed Mother as her advocate, Mrs. Siron carries on her duties as Bishop Kelly’s campus minister.
Mrs. Siron has a Bachelor’s degree in social science and an advanced certification in Catechesis. She graduated with honors from Boise State University. She was director/teacher of religious education and youth minister for Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Meridian for 20 years before coming to Bishop Kelly.
Mrs. Siron is the service learning coordinator for Bishop Kelly and models her passion for service at Holy Apostle’s parish as Lector, Eucharistic Minister and musician. In addition, Jan volunteers as coordinator of the BK Mexico Service Trip. She further volunteers with the St. Vincent DePaul Thanksgiving Food Basket drive, Boise Rescue Mission and Corpus Christi House for the homeless.
Raising six children with her husband of 35 years on their small farm outside of Meridian, keeps Jan busy outside of school. She states that being a wife and mother are among the greatest gifts God has given her. Her hobbies include raising organic vegetables, driving the big John Deere tractor and playing with her grandchildren! | | | |
