Rita Franklin is the new Executive Director of the Bishop Kelly Foundation (for more information about the Foundation, see “Support BK” above).  Prior to working for the Foundation, Rita was employed in the Development Office of Bishop Kelly High School.

Rita is a life-long resident of Idaho and an alumna of Boise State University.  She spent many years with Xerox Corporation in various parts of the country before returning to Boise with her husband, Bob.  She was involved in his medical practice and was also a frequent community and school volunteer.  She and her family are members of St. Mary’s Parish, where her children attended school. 

The combination of her business and volunteer experience serve her well at the Foundation, where she is responsible, along with the Board of Directors, for coordinating the annual Winner’s Choice Dinner and Auction as well as the year-long management of activities related to the endowment, scholarships, gifts to the Foundation, and the various committees of the Board.

She  is married, has one daughter, Kate, who is a senior at Bishop Kelly, and another, Lauren, who is a sophomore at Carroll College in Helena, Montana.  Rita is a passionate believer in the value of a Catholic education and considers it a privilege to work for the Foundation, furthering its efforts to provide financial support for Bishop Kelly High School.
