 | Ms. Katie Harbacheck Sports Medicine kharbacheck@bk.org Katie Harbacheck is the Athletic Trainer and Sports
Medicine coordinator at Bishop Kelly High School.
She is responsible for providing athletic training services
to all of Bishop Kelly’s athletic teams and supervising three
student athletic trainers. Katie is available at every home
athletic competition which means she spends most every
night at Bishop Kelly.
In addition to being the Athletic Trainer, Katie also teaches the Sports Medicine class.
Students learn to tape, evaluate injuries, prevent injuries, provide treatment and rehabilitate
athletic injuries. Ms. Harbacheck believes that a main goal of teaching is to facilitate learning
through helping students gain skills in order to take control of their own learning. She tries to
create an environment where learning is interactive and fun.
Katie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2009 from the University
of Idaho. She is board certified and a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association.
While at the University of Idaho, she worked with the track, basketball and football teams.
She has also spent time at a Physical Therapy clinic, a General Practitioner’s office and
Moscow High School.
Away from school Katie’s passion is playing volleyball, shopping, movies, traveling, watching
Vandal games and hanging out with friends. |
