School Health Program

The Saint Alphonsus School Health Program began in 1994, serving the Catholic schools of the Treasure Valley as an outreach program, to provide school nursing services where none previously existed.
The Coordinator of the Program is Mary Lou Cunningham, RN, NBCSN the elementary School Health Nurses are Linda Miller RN, Karla Case RN, plus a program assistant, Sherry Placido CNA. The schools served are Bishop Kelly High School, and St. Mary's, St. Joe's, St. Mark's and Sacred Heart Elementary Schools.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Saint Alphonsus School Health Program addresses the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social health of the whole person, to improve school success and a lifetime of wellness. We strive to improve and protect the health status of students, and remove or modify health related barriers to the learning process. We advocate for healthy, productive lifestyles of families and individuals, in a supportive environment.

Bishop Kelly High School's Mission We develop the total student --- spirit, mind, and body. Through a diverse and comprehensive education in the Catholic tradition, students prepare themselves to serve God and others in the world community.
