I began teaching at BK in 2005 and previously worked as an educator in positions throughout the U.S. and abroad. I earned my BA in Psychology, with Music and Spanish Minors from the University of Portland, and an MA in Applied Theology from Wheeling Jesuit University. Beyond teaching Comparative Religion and other Theology classes at BK, I’ve enjoyed working with the Forum for Theological Education, Jesuit Volunteers International and local organizations, such as the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights. These experiences have afforded me the privilege of travel, plus global and local exposure that have both fortified and humbled my teaching. I’ve taught adult education courses as well and was honored to receive a Distinguished Educator Award through the Rotary Century Scholars Program. I find it a privilege at BK to journey with students on their paths of personal, academic and spiritual growth. I enjoy working with their curiosities and am grateful to be surrounded by a gifted faculty and staff.

As the Horticulture teacher, I bring my past experience in landscaping and grounds to the class, along with my work with Boise Global Gardens and the Treasure Valley Plant Network. Botany and gardening have always been a staple of my life since childhood; I bring that love of cultivation to our classroom and greenhouse.

When not at Bishop Kelly, I enjoy being with my family, exploring music and gardening. I love to travel as much as I love returning to my roots in Montana.
