Saint Josephine Bakhita Scholarship
The St. Josephine Bakhita Scholarship at Bishop Kelly High School was established by a BK family to support a student who demonstrates financial need and would otherwise find it impossible or difficult to attend BK. The scholarship will be awarded to an African American student, or a student who is an African Immigrant, and who is of Catholic or Christian faith. Potential candidates for this scholarship must demonstrate good academic effort and attitude. Recipients must be determined to be of good moral character and integrity. The scholarship is renewable annually, with the intent of enabling the recipient to attend four years at Bishop Kelly. Priority will be granted to the scholarship applicants who have the greatest financial need. Application is made through the school’s normal financial aid process (applicants do not need to apply for any specific scholarship in this process).
