When James came to BK from Nampa Christian as a freshman, he didn’t know very many kids at Bishop Kelly. But his participation in sports helped him to get to know his teammates, and make friends quickly. Now as a Senior, James is a leader, and an important member of our school community. James comes from a family of scholar athletes (both his mom and dad are kind of a big deal) and here at BK he’s proving he can continue that legacy both in the classroom, and on the track. “Running track at BK has been a great experience,” says James. “Coach Carp is my sprinters coach, and he’s amazing. I’ve grown and learned so much from him. He teaches me technique, and everything else I need to be successful.”
Coach Jeff Carpenter thinks pretty highly of James too. “James is one of the hardest workers I have ever coached. For his exceptional athletic and physical abilities, he is an extremely humble young man. James is an excellent person of character. He is truly a one of a kind talent that has so much potential. The sky is the limit for James!”
James has signed to run track and field at the University of Arizona next year. The Wildcats are lucky to be getting this all around great student athlete!
