Friday, August 7th – New Student Orientation for all Students in All Grade Levels who will be New to BK in the Fall of 2026

New Student Orientation Schedule
8:00 a.m. – 8:20 a.m. – 9th Grade Students and Parents Arrive at BK
- Students should be dropped off in front of the main building, where they will pick up their name tag and student ID. Students will then head to the Cafeteria and sit at their assigned table.
- Parents report to the Carley Athletic Center (behind the main building)
8:20 a.m. – Students will be welcomed by Administrators and get an overview of the day, Students will then go to the Carley Center for Mass.
8:25 a.m. – Welcome and overview of what to expect for Mass.
8:30 a.m. – Begin the Day with Mass for students and parents
9:15 a.m. – Orientation begins for students and parents in the Carley Athletic Center.
9:45 a.m. – Parents dismissed for a social with coffee and pastries on Lachiondo Plaza. (Located in the stadium next to the multi-use turf field.) The Spirit Store will be open for all your back to school needs.
12:05 p.m. – Lunch provided to all students.
2:00 p.m. – Students dismissed for the day.
New Student Orientation for Students in the 10th and 11th Grade begins at 11:30 A.M.
- Please arrive at the front entrance between 11:10 and 11:25
- School/Yearbook Photos will be taken at New Student Orientation

Returning Student Orientation is a required school day for students in the 10th – 12th grades. (New Students who attended New Student Orientation Day are not required to also attend on this day.) If your returning student cannot attend, please follow these attendance procedures to excuse your student from school.

- As this is a Mass Day, Mass Dress is required. We understand that ordering Mass Shirts can take some time, so we will give grace to students who are not in Mass Dress for this first All School Mass. If you do not have a BK Mass Shirt, please wear a white button up.
- Mass Dress Shirts can be purchased at the BK Spirit Store, or ordered online at Skobel’s School Uniforms. If you order online, please know that it can take several weeks for shirts to arrive. Plan ahead and order early.

The Spirit Store is located in Lachiondo Plaza at Nick Ysursa Field. BK t-shirts and sweatshirts are approved dress code on all school days, with the exception of Mass Dress Days.

Bishop Kelly’s dress code is intended to encourage modesty, cleanliness, neatness, and pride in one’s appearance and school community. It is our belief that students should respect each other for who they are, not for what they wear.

Mass Dress Code
All School Mass and other special occasions are designated “Mass Dress Days”. These are school days where a more formal and uniform appearance is expected of students out of respect for the special purpose of the day. Sweatshirts should not be worn. No denim pants are allowed on Mass Day, including black denim. All students must stay in Mass Dress the entire day.
Mass Dress Shirts can be purchased at the BK Spirit Store, or ordered online at Skobel’s School Uniforms.
Mass dress consists of the following:
- A White Oxford (button down), collared shirt (long or short sleeved) with the BK Logo Crest.
- Dress slacks, khakis, or chinos in neutral colors – black, tan, navy, or gray.
- Young women may wear Maxi or Mid-length skirts (at or past the knee) – black, tan, navy, or gray
- Shirts must be tucked in.
Optional Mass Dress items:
- Tie
- A sweater vest, cardigan, or blazer may be worn over the oxford – black or gray colored only
Mass Dress Shirts can be purchased at the BK Spirit Store, or ordered online at Skobel’s School Uniforms.
Please order Mass Dress items in the Summer to insure they will arrive by the second All School Mass in early September.
Bishop Kelly offers bus transportation to students who live in the Eagle, Nampa, and Meridian areas of the Treasure Valley.

If your student will be taking any medications at school during the upcoming year, please fill out and submit this form to nurse@bk.org.
In order for Bishop Kelly to provide a safe learning environment for all students, please review the Mandatory Medication Guidelines. Students are not permitted to carry any medications with them on campus.
Under certain circumstances, students are allowed to self-carry certain medications, such as EpiPens and Inhalers, when they have Self-Carry Agreement and Emergency Plan on file. If this applies to your student, please fill out and submit these form to nurse@bk.org.

This spring the Bishop Kelly Board formally approved an update to our Electronic Devices policy. The updated policy prohibits the use and possession of cell phones and other personal devices during the school day. For the 2026-2027 school year, students will be required to keep cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, tablets, and other personal devices powered off and stored from the first morning bell through closing prayer.
You can read the full text of Policy 3206: Electronic Devices here. In summary, under the Invisible Device Policy, students are expected to power off and store cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, tablets, gaming devices, and any other device that can send messages, make calls, or connect to the internet. Devices must be stored in a student’s car or locker. They may not be kept in pockets or backpacks. This policy applies throughout the full school day, including free periods, lunch, House time, field trips, and retreats.
Approved laptops remain permitted for academic use. Students who need to reach a parent or guardian, or who need to receive an urgent message, will be able to do so through the main office. Students with medical conditions that require device monitoring will work with our school nurse, Christina Klaas, to arrange appropriate accommodations.
We have prepared this Complete Guide for Families that addresses the policy in full detail, and this Frequently Asked Questions document that speaks directly to the questions we have heard most from our community. We encourage you to read both carefully.
- Having a locker at Bishop Kelly High School is a privilege, and we expect you to take care of it.
- Please keep your locker LOCKED at all times. Students are responsible for everything in, or on, their locker and will be held accountable.
- At the end of each semester, lockers are to be emptied, cleaned , and wiped down.
- PLEASE DO NOT leave food in the lockers over school breaks!
- Cleaning products will be provided during locker clean out times throughout the year.
- No garbage, food, posters, personal belongings, stickers, or graffiti should be left in or on your locker at the end of the school year.
- If there is an issue with a locker (vandalism, damage, etc.), please let the Attendance Office know immediately so it can be taken care of appropriately.
- At the end of the school year, students will be charged:
- $25 for not cleaning out their locker completely (items in or on locker / dirty locker)
- $15 for a missing lock

- All New Freshmen and New Students will have their school photos taken at Freshman and New Student Academy on August 7th. Any Freshmen or New Students who are unable to attend Freshman and New Student Academy will have their photos taken on Orientation Day, August 13th.
- All returning students, and new students in grades 10-12 will have their school photos taken on Orientation Day, August 13th.
- Loren Orr Photography is taking our school photos this year. Parents will receive an email with a link to their student’s photos for ordering.

Your student will have seven classes each semester, and each class may have specific expectations for supplies needed. Other than a laptop computer and basic supplies, such as three ring binders, loose leaf paper, pens, and pencils, it is suggested that you wait until after your child receives the course syllabus during the first week of school to purchase more specific school supplies. Academic Information for Fall 2026
Bishop Kelly High School is a 1:1 technology school, meaning each student at Bishop Kelly has their own personal electronic device. There are many options to choose from, however, there are certain minimum requirements that will allow enrollment in all classes and the best possible education experience. Please read this list of technology requirements before your purchase a device for your student.
Financial assistance is available to assist families who need help purchasing a device for their student. Please fill out this Electronic Device Assistance Application and return it to the Bishop Kelly Business Office.
Bishop Kelly uses a web based classroom management system that parents and students can access to check schedules and grades called Infinite Campus.
RETURNING STUDENTS – you can sign in to Infinite Campus here, with your BK Google Account. Schedules will be posted a few days before school starts.
NEW STUDENTS – you will receive access to Infinite Campus at New Student Academy in August.
PARENTS – New BK Parents will receive an access letter to Infinite Campus in August.
If you are new to BK or have a new computer, please follow along with one of the videos below. For freshmen and new students in other grade levels, this will ensure that devices are ready for New Student Academy. For returning students with new computers, these steps will need to be completed before you can use your laptop on the first day of school.
Parents, please do these steps at home, especially if you will be placing restrictions on your student’s computer to prevent them from installing software.

The Bishop Kelly Cheer team functions year round, with tryouts occurring in April. The team participates in summer practices and weights, but transitions to competition preparation once the school year begins. We support all of our BK Athletics but you can find us on the sideline for football, boys basketball and girls basketball, or on the competition mat from December to March. We welcome ALL experience levels but tumbling is always helpful. If you are interested in becoming a part of the incredible BK cheer team please reach out to Head Coach Mariah Oliverez.

The Kelly Gold Dance Team is excited to continue training this summer with practices on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00–8:00 AM. While our 2026–2027 team has already been selected, we still have a few openings and are welcoming late tryouts. Summer base training will run from 8:00-10:00AM, Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, June 8th at various locations in Boise. The schedule for practice sites will be posted on the Cross Country Team page at www.bk.org and Coach Angela or Coach Spencer will send them via email to parents, as well. The official first day of practice is Monday August 10th and will also serve as the first day of camp. The first home meet will be the Jimmy Driscoll Meet on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 . Golfers are encouraged to be involved in the junior golf leagues and events throughout the valley and at various golf courses for the summer season. Playing as many competitive rounds as possible will help them prepare for the upcoming fall season as well as practicing their skills of hitting, chipping and putting regularly. Mandatory tryouts will be August 10th, 11th and 12th at Lakeview Golf Course in Meridian which is our home course. Times will be posted on our team web page as the season gets closer and emailed to all players. Athletes wanting to play golf for BK in the fall must be in attendance for tryouts. Teams will be announced at tryouts on Wednesday the 12th with regular practices beginning on Thursday the 13th at Lakeview. Summer training is scheduled to begin on June 30th. Open plays will run every Tuesday night and Friday morning with scrimmages every Wednesday night leading up to tryouts. Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. If you are not yet on the email list, email Coach Eneko as soon as possible for all of the details. Players unable to attend should invest personal time running and training in preparation for tryouts. Tryouts begin on Monday, August 10th, 8-9:30am and 7-8:30pm. The Bishop Kelly Girls Soccer program is excited to begin preparations for the 2026 season with a full slate of summer opportunities for current and future Knights. Summer activities include summer strength and conditioning beginning the week of June 8, 9:30am – 10:30am, open play sessions June 29–July 1, 9am – 11:30am, and a team camp experience at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, July 22–26. Fall tryouts officially begin August 10. These summer opportunities are designed to build fitness, develop relationships, strengthen team culture, and prepare our players for a successful season both on and off the field. We have already received tremendous interest and participation from current and incoming players and are excited about the future of BK Girls Soccer. Swimmers are encouraged to join a Club or Summer Rec Team in order to get in shape ahead of evaluations for our season, if you are not currently engaged in the sport. Tryouts will be held at the Idaho Central Aquatic Center beginning August 10th. Swimmers MUST attend tryouts to be considered for the swim team. We have a JV and Varsity team for both boys and girls. Swimmers must attend 10 school practices prior to our first meet on September 1st. If you would like to purchase a Senior Dedication Ad that goes in the yearbook, please visit TheYearbookCompany.com. This is completely optional, but many seniors look forward to the nice personal notes from their family. The price goes up the longer you wait to order one. The final deadline is usually in January, and reminders will go out via BK Alive as it nears the deadline. However, you can order early!
Senior Tux and Drape photos will be taken at Bishop Kelly in October. More information will be published in BK Alive as we get closer.
If you plan to use your own photographer, please share this Senior Portrait Requirements page with your photographer.
Senior quotes need to be submitted by November 30th. Seniors will be submitting their quotes electronically through a Google Form, which will be sent to them in September. They will be reminded of this after school starts this fall.
