We call it One Day One Knight, and it’s a day to celebrate our Bishop Kelly family. The worldwide Knight community unites on a single day to express support for Bishop Kelly High School.
On March 4th we will have many opportunities to share, laugh, reminisce, and pass on to the next generation all the things that make us proud to be part of the BK Family!
United by a common connection to Bishop Kelly — as students and alumni, faculty and staff, parents and grandparents, family and friends — we support our students through One Day One Knight to our Kelly Pride Fund. Take a moment to think about the friendships you made because of your BK experience, the teachers and staff that care so much about the students here, the life lessons that are learned in our classrooms and on our playing fields, and then consider making a gift to the Kelly Pride Fund as part of our annual day of giving at BK.
One Day One Knight is about the power of community. We aren’t asking for huge gifts that stretch your budget. We’re asking for our community, especially our Alumknights, to participate in force! If Alumknights from each of our 60 graduating classes were to make a gift, we could raise enough money in one day to make trans-formative changes for students and programs at BK. And remember, all gifts to Bishop Kelly are charitable, tax-deductible gifts. Your gift will be acknowledged with a receipt for your tax records.
Many companies will match their employees’ gifts to BK, increasing the impact or even doubling the value. Check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program.
BK Challenge Gifts
A BK Challenge is a gift that can be unlocked when we hit a specific target as a community. Challenge gifts are designed to encourage and inspire all BK supporters to participate and contribute to our overall goal of $110,000 raised in 24 hours! Questions? BK Class of 2026 graduate Stephen Smith is headed to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in their highly selective Airforce ROTC program. Congratulations Stephen on this honor, we know we`ll see you soaring to great heights in the future!
Armed Forces Day was Saturday, and we are celebrating by recognizing the Class of 2026 Knights who earned ROTC scholarships!
Isaiah Friend has been awarded the Army ROTC 4-Year National Scholarship. This is an elite federal merit award granted by the U.S. Army Cadet Command. It is the highest honor available to incoming college freshmen, awarded to a select group of students nationwide who demonstrate the Scholar-Athlete-Leader model. This scholarship is widely recognized as being on par with an appointment to a U.S. Service Academy (such as West Point) in terms of prestige and selectivity.
Isaiah was evaluated by a National Selection Board on a competitive 1,400-point scale. Qualification requires:
Academic Excellence: Typically characterized by a top-tier GPA and SAT/ACT scores (e.g., 4.0+ and 1400+).
Athletic Prowess: Proven through varsity-level sports and passing the Army Physical Fitness Assessment.
Proven Leadership: Extensive records of service, such as Varsity Team Captains, Student Government leaders, or Eagle Scouts.
Officer Interview: A formal evaluation by a Senior Army Officer to assess character and leadership potential.
Isaiah`s scholarship represents a federal investment of up to $200,000+ and provides:
Isaiah is attending UCLA, and this scholarship will pay 100% of his tuition and fees. Additionally he will receive allowances for books, and a stipend for living expenses.
Upon graduation, Isaiah will enter the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant, a professional leadership role. He will serve 4 years of full-time service as a Second Lieutenant, and 4 years in the Individual Ready Reserve.

Shoutout to the BEST maintenance team! Bishop Kelly’s campus always looks pristine thanks to our hardworking buildings and grounds crews. Everything they take care of is beautifully maintained, including our classrooms, community spaces, athletic fields, and equipment. We are so grateful for this crew, led by Chad Blue, who take such pride in their work, and make students and staff feel so cared for here at school. BK’s buildings and grounds crews are why we CAN have nice things! 🖤💛🖤💛

BK is hiring a full time English teacher, and a long term sub for English! Come join our amazing faculty in the Language Arts Department!
Bishop Kelly is hiring a full time assistant cook in the BK Cafe.
The Assistant Cook supports the daily operation of the school cafeteria by assisting with food preparation, meal service, cleaning, and sanitation duties to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming dining environment for students and staff.
This position works collaboratively with the Kitchen Manager and other kitchen personnel in the preparation and service of meals. Duties may include preparing fresh fruits and vegetables, assembling and packaging food items, assisting with meal service, operating a point-of-sale (POS) station, and maintaining food service areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
