What a great week!

My compliments and thanks to all for the outstanding teamwork and performance with so many things going on during the week last week –  a full week of classes, state golf up in Moscow, a beautiful  music concert, the AP art show, BK President’s Table dinner with our largest donors, state softball up north, hosting the 4A state baseball tournament with our boys competing, state track at Eagle High, state tennis spread all over the area, state lacrosse starting, Science Olympiad competeing at Nationals … and all went incredibly well!  Our students did an amazing job, led by their moderators, teachers and coaches.  As we state in the BK Way, “participation in activities provides a valuable experience in student’s growth and development as we support and challenge them to achieve personal and team excellence.”  There was a whole lot of excellence, both by individuals and by teams, happening this past week.  BK won two team state titles (girls golf, girls softball), two individual titles (boys and girls golf), three second places (girls track and boys golf), one third place (baseball) and four first place medals in track.  And what great sportsmanship exhibited by all our student-athletes competing this past week!

Special thanks to all those involved in hosting the 4A State Baseball Tournament – the maintenance and grounds team, baseball coaches, players and parents, the Activities Department (Tom and Jeff), plus all the volunteers, especially Dean Satterfield.  The field and overall facility were in great shape and looked fantastic.  We received many compliments from every team and their fans on our facilities, on how well things ran, and how well the coaches, players and fans were treated.
