Important Dates for Fall 2025
Friday, August 8th – New Student Orientation for all Students in All Grade Levels who will be New to BK in the Fall of 2025
- School/Yearbook Photos will be taken at New Student Orientation
- All incoming students need to bring your fully charged laptop to New Student Orientation.
- Students must be in BK Dress Code for New Student Orientation
- The BK Spirit Store will be open from 9:45 – Noon on New Student Orientation Day
New Student Orientation Schedule
8:00 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. – Students and Parents Arrive at BK
- Students should be dropped off in front of the main building, where they will pick up their name tag and student ID. Students will then head to the Cafeteria and sit at their assigned table.
- Parents report to the Carley Athletic Center (behind the main building)
8:20 a.m. – Students will be welcomed by Administrators and get an overview of the day, as well as what to expect for Mass. Students will then go to the Carley Center for Mass.
8:30 a.m. – Begin the Day with Mass for students and parents
9:40 a.m. – Students break into groups and continue orientation in the main building, Parents stay in the Carley Athletic Center for orientation.
9:45 a.m. – Parents dismissed for a social with coffee and pastries on Lachiondo Plaza. (Located in the stadium next to the multi-use turf field.) The Spirit Store will be open for all your back to school needs.
12:05 p.m. – Lunch provided to all students.
2:00 p.m. – Students dismissed for the day.

Thursday, August 14th – Returning Student Orientation Day
Returning Student Orientation is a required school day for students in the 10th – 12th grades. If your student cannot attend please follow these attendance procedures to excuse your student from school.

Friday, August 15th – First Day of Classes for ALL BK Students
- August 15th is a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics, as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Vance will be celebrating our first All School Mass to start our school year! All students will report to their House Family at 8:30 and sit together for Mass.
- As this is a Mass Day, Mass Dress is required. We understand that ordering Mass Shirts can take some time, so we will give grace to students who are not in Mass Dress for this first All School Mass. If you do not have a BK Mass Shirt, please wear a white button up.
- Mass Dress shirts can be purchased in person at the BK Spirit store or in person/online at Educational Outfitters. If you order online, please know that it can take several weeks for shirts to arrive. Plan ahead and order early.

- Please bring your fully charged laptop, a notebook, and something to write with. Teachers will be letting you know what school supplies you need for their classes on this day.

The Bishop Kelly Spirit Store will be open for a special sneak peak preview on Saturday, August 2nd from 10:00 AM to Noon. Beat the lines and get your gear a week early!
The Spirit Store will also be open during New Student Orientation on August 8th from 9:45 AM to Noon.
The Spirit Store is located in Lachiondo Plaza at Nick Ysursa Field.
BK t-shirts and sweatshirts are approved dress code on all school days, with the exception of Mass Dress Days.
New this year, the Spirit Store is carrying Mass Dress shirts!

Bishop Kelly’s dress code is intended to encourage modesty, cleanliness, neatness, and pride in one’s appearance and school community. It is our belief that students should respect each other for who they are, not for what they wear.

Mass Dress Code
All School Mass and other special occasions are designated “Mass Dress Days”. These are school days where a more formal and uniform appearance is expected of students out of respect for the special purpose of the day. Sweatshirts should not be worn. No denim pants are allowed on Mass Day, including black denim. All students must stay in Mass Dress the entire day.

Mass dress consists of the following:
- A White Oxford (button down), collared shirt (long or short sleeved) with the BK Logo Crest.
- Dress slacks, khakis, or chinos in neutral colors – black, tan, navy, or gray.
- Young women may wear Maxi or Mid-length skirts (at or past the knee) – black, tan, navy, or gray
- Shirts must be tucked in.
Optional Mass Dress items:
- Tie
- A sweater vest, cardigan, or blazer may be worn over the oxford – black or gray colored only

Please order Mass Dress items in the Summer to insure they will arrive by the second All School Mass in early September.
Bishop Kelly offers bus transportation to students who live in the Eagle, Nampa, and Meridian areas of the Treasure Valley.

Dear BK families:
If your student has experienced any changes to his/her health over the last year or will be taking any medications at school during the upcoming year, please provide an update to his/her health history. Please fill out and submit these forms to cklaas@bk.org.
In order for Bishop Kelly to provide a safe learning environment for all students, please review the Mandatory Medication Guidelines. Students are not permitted to carry any medications with them on campus.

- Having a locker at Bishop Kelly High School is a privilege, and we expect you to take care of it.
- Please keep your locker LOCKED at all times. Students are responsible for everything in, or on, their locker and will be held accountable.
- At the end of each semester, lockers are to be emptied, cleaned , and wiped down.
- PLEASE DO NOT leave food in the lockers over school breaks!
- Cleaning products will be provided during locker clean out times throughout the year.
- No garbage, food, posters, personal belongings, stickers, or graffiti should be left in or on your locker at the end of the school year.
- If there is an issue with a locker (vandalism, damage, etc.), please let the Attendance Office know immediately so it can be taken care of appropriately.
- At the end of the school year, students will be charged:
- $25 for not cleaning out their locker completely (items in or on locker / dirty locker)
- $15 for a missing lock

- All New Freshmen and New Students will have their school photos taken at Freshman and New Student Academy on August 8th. Any Freshmen or New Students who are unable to attend Freshman and New Student Academy will have their photos taken on Orientation Day, August 14th.
- All returning students, and new students in grades 10-12 will have their school photos taken on Orientation Day, August 14th.
- Loren Orr Photography is taking our school photos this year. Parents will receive an email with a link to their student’s photos for ordering.

Your student will have seven classes each semester, and each class may have specific expectations for supplies needed. Other than a laptop computer and basic supplies, such as three ring binders, loose leaf paper, pens, and pencils, it is suggested that you wait until after your child receives the course syllabus during the first week of school to purchase more specific school supplies. Academic Information for Fall 2025
Bishop Kelly High School is a 1:1 technology school, meaning each student at Bishop Kelly has their own personal electronic device. There are many options to choose from, however, there are certain minimum requirements that will allow enrollment in all classes and the best possible education experience. Please read this list of technology requirements before your purchase a device for your student.
Financial assistance is available to assist families who need help purchasing a device for their student. Please fill out this Electronic Device Assistance Application and return it to the Bishop Kelly Business Office.
Bishop Kelly uses a web based classroom management system that parents and students can access to check schedules and grades called Infinite Campus.
RETURNING STUDENTS – you can sign in to Infinite Campus here, with your BK Google Account. Schedules will be posted a few days before school starts.
NEW STUDENTS – you will receive access to Infinite Campus at New Student Academy in August.
PARENTS – New BK Parents will receive an access letter to Infinite Campus in August.
If you are new to BK or have a new computer, please follow along with one of the videos below. For freshmen and new students in other grade levels, this will ensure that devices are ready for New Student Academy. For returning students with new computers, these steps will need to be completed before you can use your laptop on the first day of school.
Parents, please do these steps at home, especially if you will be placing restrictions on your student’s computer to prevent them from installing software.

Boys Golf tryouts will be August 11-13th at Lakeview Golf Course. Tee times are from 6:30-7:51am. All boys will play 18 holes on August 11th and 12th, after which initial cuts will be made. Those that make the initial cut will come back for final tryouts on August 13th. After that day, the JV and Varsity teams will be set. 12 total players will make the team. Bishop Kelly Volleyball Tryouts
Volleyball tryouts for Bishop Kelly High School will take place August 11–13 in the Carly Center. Each day will include two sessions: 3:00–5:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM. Evaluations will be conducted after each session, and cuts will be made accordingly. Athletes should plan to attend all sessions unless otherwise communicated. Each Bishop Kelly Athlete must complete a Participation Permission Form each school year. Additionally, BK Athletes must have a Sports Physical each school year.

This is completely optional, but many seniors look forward to the nice personal notes from their family. The price goes up the longer you wait to order one. The final deadline is usually in January, and reminders will go out via BK Alive as it nears the deadline. However, you can order early!
Senior Tux and Drape photos will be taken at Bishop Kelly in October. More information will be published in BK Alive as we get closer.

Senior quotes need to be submitted by November 30th. Seniors will be submitting their quotes electronically through a Google Form, which will be sent to them in September. They will be reminded of this after school starts this fall.
